Program Offset Karbon dalam Paket Wisata: Strategi Implementasi dan Tantangan bagi Pariwisata Berkelanjutan di Indonesia

Penelitian ini mengkaji implementasi program offset karbon dalam paket wisata di Indonesia, mengidentifikasi praktik terbaik, tantangan utama, serta rekomendasi strategis untuk mendorong pengembangan pariwisata rendah karbon yang selaras dengan target net-zero emission Indonesia pada 2060. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi studi kasus kualitatif dengan fokus pada Bumi Journey sebagai agen perjalanan berkelanjutan pelopor di Indonesia, melalui analisis terpadu dokumen organisasi, laporan program, serta sintesis sumber sekunder dari literatur akademik, kebijakan pemerintah, dan penilaian industri yang diterbitkan antara 2021 dan 2025. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program TravelCooler mendemonstrasikan implementasi offset karbon yang efektif melalui tiga prinsip utama: Rencanakan, Kurangi, dan Netralkan. Antara 2021 dan 2022, inisiatif ini mencapai dampak lingkungan yang terukur, meliputi penanaman 6.852 bibit mangrove, restorasi 349 fragmen terumbu karang, dan penetralan 137 ton CO2e, sekaligus memberikan manfaat kepada 107 anggota komunitas lokal. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada literatur pariwisata berkelanjutan dengan menyediakan kerangka operasional untuk mengintegrasikan mekanisme offset karbon ke dalam produk wisata, beserta rekomendasi praktis bagi operator wisata, pembuat kebijakan, dan pengelola destinasi yang berupaya memajukan aksi iklim dalam sektor pariwisata.
